With the world-famous Butchart Gardens, the Horticultural Centre of the Northwest, Government
House, Beacon Hill Park, THe grounds of Government House and the no-longer-a-secret Abkahazi Gardens,
Victoria deserves its title as the Garden City. But many other public and private gardens adorn
the city from Government House to Beacon Hill Park to the Parliament grounds.
Scholefield House has it own lush English gardens and patio - a place to relax and a source of
herbs and flowers for the breakfast plates. From February through November, a variety of plants
and flowers emerge and show their finery. And throughout the winter the gardens remain green with
occasional colours from Christmas roses and heathers.
Discover the Herb Garden where we grow our own fresh herbs - basil, thymes, fennel, sage, chives,
tarragon, curry, oregano, lemon balm, artemesia and more.
Sit in the patio and enjoy the scent of our many flowers including some of the edible flowers
we grow - calendula, roses, chives, honeysuckle, sweet woodruff, and jerusalem artichoke.
